In the Southern Moniyan Empire, a bottomless abyss is carved into a barren landscape—As if an ancient demon used a powerful blade to permanently scar the Land of Dawn. The local populace call this place the Abyss. In ancient times, this was the realm of the God of Darkness. In recent times, in the god's absence, its followers yearn for its return. The demons who dwelled in the darkest depths of the Abyss tirelessly schemed to strengthen their power over the darkness. Many misguided believers offered sacrifices to the Abyss, unknowingly feeding the demons, formed of dark energy in its purest form, always lurking in the darkness waiting to devour the carcasses for sacrifices. They then used the sacrifices to breed the "Abyssal Demons," demonic creatures formed by the purest dark energy, which could perfectly blend into the darkness to wait and engulf the prey.

One day, Selena, a young dark elf, was sacrificed by fanatic dark elves in exchange for dark energy. Elves being the demon's favorite sacrifice, Selena was mercilessly thrown into the Abyss. The Abyssal Demons filled Selena with pain and despair, which coursed through every vein of her body. Just as Selena was about to be consumed by the darkness, a miracle happened. A mysterious, warm-blue light enveloped her and appeared to be battling with the darkness for control over her body. When Selena woke, she found herself still lying in the Abyss, but her skin was now exuding some strange blue glow, and her once lavender eyes were filled with a majestic scarlet glow. It was the Abyss Demon resting within her. The demons frantically wondered what happened.

The God of Darkness then spoke: "This dark elf is special. A great power dwells within, inherited from her ancestry, from her blood." An ancient and deep voice echoed through the minds of the demons, "Leave this girl to me. She will become the new master of the darkness!" The Demons obeyed the commands and left Selena as she was. When Selena stood before the demonic inhabitants of the Abyss, with the Abyssal Demons at her side, she quickly discovered that she could manipulate the dark magic of the Abyss. She could absorb the power of the Abyss into her body to transform herself into a full demon, capable of tearing her enemies into shreds. The God of Darkness appointed her as its voice, giving Selena uncontested rule over the demons of the Abyss. Even Alice, the proud Queen of Blood, felt unsettled when she laid eyes upon this dark elf girl. Alice could sense a terrifying power slumbering within this mischievous maiden.
