Kaja

Born of thunder, Kaja, the Nazar King, was once the Ancient Ones' most loyal blade. With lightning whip in hand, he judged the sins of all creatures and safeguarded the sanctity of Sanctum Island. But after the war against the two gods, he fell into a long slumber. When he finally awoke, the allies and foes he once knew had been lost to time. Faced with an unfamiliar world, Kaja spread his wings—still shining as they once did. The Ancient Ones may be gone, but his justice will roar across the skies like thunder once more.

Skyborne Thunder

They were a race born of courage and defiance.

Thousands of years ago, a group of Ancient Ones witnessed a flock of birds cutting through a raging storm, their fragile bodies enduring the sky's wrath, defying fate and death. The unyielding will of these birds and the lightning that rent the sky left an unforgettable impression on these artisans. Enlightened by this vision, they tempered the power of thunder and wove it into living essence, forging the wondrous Primal Lightning. They breathed life and will into this formless power, and from it, rose the Nazar.

With the power of Primal Lightning, they raised Sanctum Island above the skies—a majestic palace atop the sea of clouds, under the Nazar's eternal vigil.

Forged from the fiercest tempest, the King of the Nazar, Kaja, has watched over Sanctum Island since his creation.

His eyes flicker with lightning, revealing all that hides in the darkness. When he sets his eyes on his prey, his whip cracks like thunder as his wings and claws tear through wind and demons alike. The gale sings his praises, the blessed rain celebrates his victories, and the sky roars in awe of their fearless guardian.

In that golden age, Kaja held guard alongside the Aethereal Defender Uranus and upheld justice with the Primal Warden Edith. Sanctum Island stood as a beacon of order and light under their watch; a brilliant pearl nestled among the clouds.

Yet, even the brightest pearl will lose its luster.

The war against the two gods raged across heaven and earth. When all seemed lost, the Ancient Ones exhausted the last of their power to seal the two gods to the Land of Dawn. To preserve a spark of hope for the future, they split Sanctum Island and hid its upper portion somewhere in the world.

Kaja led the Nazar with unyielding valor, fighting to the very last moment. His thunder tore through countless foes, but it was not enough as he watched his comrades fall from the sky like shooting stars. Edith was gravely injured and nowhere to be found, while Uranus, drained of all his energy, sank into a long slumber. In the end, only Kaja remained, but he too soon drifted from consciousness.

When Kaja opened his eyes again, thousands of years had already passed.

The world had changed beyond recognition.

By then, the Awakening project was already in motion. The world's barrier cracked under the clash of light and darkness, leaving the influence of the two gods at their weakest. At the crucial moment, they left the Land of Dawn, and the Twilight Orb shattered.

Amidst this turmoil, the hidden portion of Sanctum Island reappeared. A fragment of the shattered Twilight Orb—the Heart of Anima—descended upon Sanctum Island, becoming the core that held it aloft. The island, now floating above its original location, became known as the "Celestial Palace."

Kaja, the last remaining Nazar, was the first to awaken in this forgotten place.

The plaza that once echoed with hymns now held only the cries of the wind, and the once-brilliant colonnades had all fallen into ruin. The great island had become the tomb of a lost age. Kaja cried out the names of his companions to the sky, but only the ruins echoed back. In the dead silence, the conviction he upheld for millennia finally failed him: "If all that I was sworn to protect is gone, what is left for me to live for?"

But before Kaja could even arrange his thoughts, the palace came under attack. Forces coveting the fragment of the Twilight Orb had already converged upon the palace, and a frantic battle ensued. Eventually, the Heart of Anima fell into the hands of Kalon, the Evil God who had possessed Gusion. Without its power core, the Celestial Palace plummeted from the sky, crashing into the ground below.

The fall of the Celestial Palace sent ripples through time, stirring what had long been lost: Edith's memories returned, and Uranus finally awoke from his long slumber.

Standing amidst the ruins, Kaja watched his long-lost companions rush toward him. His gaze shifted from them to the scattered remnants of what was once glory and honor. Stories he had heard from the time of his creation: Mortal beings who fought desperately for freedom; the Ancient Ones who refused to yield before unfathomable divine power; and the origin of the Nazar—the fragile yet fearless flock that plunged into the raging storm, defying the wrath of the skies as they faced death head-on.

The legacy of the Ancient Ones was never some ruin to be guarded, but a future to be forged.

The birds that braved death, the Ancient Ones that defied fate—the same belief flowed through their souls: never to yield to power, and to fight for all living things.

At last, Kaja understood what remained was worth fighting for.

What he had sworn to protect was not a ruined castle—it was each and every life, struggling against the odds. Alongside his companions, he would carry forward the unfinished work of the Ancient Ones; he would remind the world that the arbiter of justice had never left, that the thunder still roared for the weak.

Light pierced through the clouds and shone upon the wings of the Nazar King. From the ruins, he shot into the sky, his gaze flashing like lightning across the vast lands below. It was a new, chaotic world, filled with unknown dangers and challenges.

But what did that matter?

"All that lies beneath the sky is mine to protect!"

Then, like a bolt of lightning tearing across the sky, Kaja began his new journey without hesitation.
